About

Randall Scott Robinson

Singer-Songwriter

Golden waters, abandoned mines, and old farm tractors paint the backdrop of Americana songwriter and performer Randall Scott Robinson.

Born into a musical family, Robinson quickly found his roots in the bluegrass, folk, and country music that saturate the Appalachian foothills of northwest Georgia.  He began writing songs in the early '90s, while a student at UGA, eventually finding his footing with popular Atlanta-based roots-rock band "Los Pistoleros", touring throughout the Southeast, and eventually landing in Nashville, Tennessee, where he immersed himself in the city’s growing alt-country scene.

While in Nashville, he became a disciple of the city’s storied songwriting venues and was mentored by Jack Earle, father of songwriting legend Steve Earle.

In ’97, Randall released his first solo album, "This Old Town", which received radio airplay in the European market, and drew comparisons on Music Row to the great Gram Parsons and Texas songwriting royalty Robert Earl Keen.

Throughout the years, Randall has continued performing both as a solo artist and with various regional bands. He continued to hone his skills as a seasoned songwriter and performer, culminating in the 2021 release of his latest offering, "American Rust"—an honest look at small-town life expressed through vivid storytelling.

Today, Randall Scott Robinson carries the lyrical banner for a rural America that is quickly becoming a relic of the past. Through story-driven songs of long-gone characters and personal reflections, Randall’s music transports listeners through the unwashed cracks of small town USA—back to a place both familiar and fading.
